Zalo của nước nào? Nguồn gốc có phải từ Trung Quốc không?
Ngày nay, Zalo đã trở thành một ứng dụng phổ biến tại Việt Nam và hầu hết mọi người đều không mấy xa lại với cái tên này. Tương tự như Facebook, Zalo cũng là một ứng dụng cho phép người dùng nhắn tin, gọi điện trực tuyến, gọi video, đăng ảnh và status, bình luận,… Zalo xuất hiện tại Việt Nam đã lâu và nhận được rất nhiều lượt tải về. Tuy sử dụng rất thường xuyên nhưng có bao giờ chúng ta tự thắc mắc rằng nguồn gốc của nó là từ nước nào? Nguồn gốc có phải từ Trung Quốc. 1. Zalo của nước nào? Nguồn gốc ra đời
Zalo là một ứng dụng cho phép nhắn tin và gọi điện miễn phí hoạt động trên nền tảng di động và máy tính. Hiện Zalo được sử dụng ở rất nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới như Việt Nam, Hoa Kỳ, Myanmar, Nhật Bản, Đài Loan, Hàn Quốc, Malaysia, Ả Rập Xê Út, Angola, Sri Lanka, Cộng hòa Séc, Nga.
Zalo là ứng dụng được nghiên cứu phát triển và phát hành bởi một công ty Việt Nam, công ty VinaGame (VNG). Chính những kĩ sư của VNG đã nghiên cứu và cho ra mắt sản phẩm Zalo. Phiên bản đầu tiên ra mắt của Zalo vào ngày 08/08/2012, tuy nhiên không nhận được sự chào đón và hưởng ứng của người dùng.
Bốn tháng sau, Zalo ra mắt phiên bản chính thức, đi theo mô hình mobile-first và nhận được sự hưởng ứng từ người dùng nhờ tính năng vượt trội của sản phẩm và nhất là sự ổn định trên hệ thống mạng tại Việt Nam.
2. Tính năng của Zalo
Tương tự các trang mạng xã hội phổ biến hiện nay như Facebook, Instagram, Zalo có rất nhiều tính năng như:
- Nhắn tin miễn phí
- Gọi điện miễn phí (gọi thoại và gọi video).
- Chia sẻ trạng thái (bạn có thể tự đăng trạng thái, bình luận trạng thái của bạn bè, thả cảm xúc, tuy nhiên Zalo chỉ cho phép bạn đọc bình luận của bạn bè mình).
- Chia sẻ tập tin, video và lưu trữ thêm nhiều thông tin tại mục Truyền file.
- Kết bạn (Zalo có tính năng liên kết với danh bạ điện thoại, cho phép bạn tự động kết bạn với những người lưu số điện thoại của nhau, quét mã QR, đặc biệt Zalo có tính năng tìm quanh đây, giúp bạn kết bạn với những người ở gần bạn,…)
- Tạo Zalo Official Account để tương tác với khách hàng, người dân một cách nhanh chóng.
3. Zalo có phải có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc
Thực sự đây là một câu hỏi còn bỏ ngỏ vì chưa có công bố chính thức nào cho rằng Zalo có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc. Tuy nhiên theo các thành viên trong diễn đàn tinhte.vn, có rất nhiều dấu hiệu cho thấy Zalo có thể là bản sao của Wechat, một sản phẩm của Tencent Trung Quốc.
Theo thời báo Tài chính Vietnam, thì Tencent (chủ wechat) là cổ đông lớn của VNG (chủ Zalo) (http://vietnamfinance.vn/duong-vao-vng-cua-tencent-trung-quoc-20170628172259165.htm)
Việc Tencent trên thực tế đã chiếm bao nhiêu quyền sở hữu của VNG vẫn chưa thể xác thực.
Một tờ báo nước ngoài có đưa tin về việc Tencent đề cập việc mua 20,2% vốn của một công ty internet tại Việt Nam và đây cũng là công ty duy nhất mà công ty đầu tư. Cùng năm đó, cựu giám đốc M&A của Tencent đã chuyển sang phụ trách tài chính tại VNG.
Tiếp đó, năm 2011, Tencent công bố trong báo cáo cổ đông năm 2011 rằng đang có vốn tại một công ty game trực tuyến chưa niêm yết ở Đông Nam Á với tỉ lệ sở hữu năm 2010 là 30,02%, năm 2011 là 31,25%. Báo cáo này không chỉ đích danh VNG nhưng theo những dữ kiện và con số doanh thu thì nhiều chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực này khẳng định đó là VNG.
VNG khi mới thành lập năm 2004 có tên gọi chính thức là VinaGame, nhưng tới 2008 lại đổi thương hiệu thành VNG Corp (trùng hợp với thời gian Tencent thông báo mua 20,2% vốn của một công ty internet tại Việt Nam).
Đến nay vẫn chưa có bất kỳ công bố chính thức nào khẳng định Tencent đã mua cổ phần của VNG và Zalo có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc hay không. Tuy nhiên từ những dấu hiệu nêu trên, ta cũng chưa thể đưa ra câu trả lời chắc chắn cho câu hỏi Zalo có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc hay không.
